The Chair of Track and Railway Operations at Technische Universität Berlin does research in the fields of track constructions, rail operations and signalling systems. The Chair includes the railway laboratory with two driver cabins and nine signalling boxes of nine different types, operating a model railway. Currently, the Chairs’ main research fields are the noise reduction of trains, operation of battery trains and electronic tokens in case of a signalling failure.
